Busy today, busy tomorrow

Off to Eastbourne this afternoon - ooh the glamour.

Meeting up with some cricket watching mates, and will try to discuss the beer list - see if we can come up with some ideas.

Then it's Beckenham tomorrow for Kent v Gloucestershire, never seen cricket at Beckenham before, so should be a good day.

Will report on the beer.

What's it all about Alfie

My contract has just come to an end, the sun is shining, and the Ashes is due to start in just over a week...

Perfection

With a couple of months off, I have a summer to look forward to, a sofa to sit on and cricket to watch

An idea came to me to create my own virtual Ashes beer tour. Instead of travelling to try to watch the games, it would be a lot simpler, cheaper and more fun to stay at home, and bring the atmosphere of each ground to me, via the medium of beer.

So the aim is to try to get hold of beers local to each of the 5 test venues, and to sample them during each of the tests. I will be posting comments on the beers and the cricket. The ratio of the two will depend on the quality of the cricket and the strength of the beer.

The venues are:

Cardiff
Lord's
Edgbaston
Headingley
The Oval

If anyone has any suggestions as to what might be worth sampling, leave us a comment.
